Kyle Sandilands fat shames Jackie O

He can't stop himself

In a classic case of ‘look in the mirror first before you speak’, heavy-set radio star Kyle Sandilands has taken aim at his co-star Jackie O’s weight, likening her to Gywneth Paltrow’s morbidly obese character in Shallow Hal.

Knocking back an offer of hot chips from Bridget Jones’s Baby stars Patrick Dempsey and Renee Zellweger while on air because she is ‘on a diet’, Kyle quickly took the opportunity to fat-shame his co-star Jackie O.

‘You remember the film Shallow Hal… that’s what we were dealing with three months ago here,’ Kyle told the Hollywood stars.

Despite admitting he’s ‘going to have to do something’ about his own weight after weighing in at 138kg earlier this year, the shock jock has made quite the habit of fat shaming women over his career.

Finding himself in hot water after calling journalist Alison Stephenson a ‘fat slag’ in 2012, Kyle was also slammed after suggesting Aussie comedian Magda Szubanski, whose Polish father fought in WWII, could lose weight if ‘you put her in a concentration camp’.

Not stopping at public identities, Kyle also recently sent out a message to new mums who had recently given birth that ‘thin is better’.

Then of course there was the time he told 2005 Australian Idol winner Kate DeAraugo she has ‘tuckshop lady arms’ and advised 2006 contestant Jessica Mauboy to ‘lose the jelly belly’…
