Kyle Sandilands’ brother has been involved in a heartbreaking motorbike accident and is currently in an induced coma, the KIIS FM radio host confessed on air on June 19.
Sandilands who is based in London, recording the Kyle and Jackie O Show, opened up to his Sydney-based co-host Jackie O about how worried he was about his younger brother Chris.
The 46-year-old revealed his brother had been so badly hurt he was airlifted to hospital following the motorbike accident.
“He’d hit his head. He’s got major breakages — broken his arm, his femur, eight ribs, shattered pelvis. He’s in an induced coma, he’s had two operations so far and he’s gotta have another one. Just a nightmare. Mum’s upset and crying. She was hysterical on the phone,” said Sandilands.
“He’s in ICU, he’s still critical and they’re going to wake him up to the good news is they can’t see any bleeding on the brain,” he continued.
Sandilands also revealed that his brother will have a long road of recervery ahead of him. “The poor bastard’s going to be in a wheelchair for six months. I’m just glad he’s alive, thank god,” he said.
