He’s no stranger to making headlines with his outlandish remarks, but Kyle Sandilands’s latest radio rant is proof he may be taking his role as a shock jock a little too far.
The radio presenter unleashed a hate-filled smack down of television host David Campbell during his KIIS FM breakfast radio show on Thursday, calling him “a piece of sh*t.”
“I hate the guy’s guts,” he said after Jackie ‘O’ announced Campbell’s co-host Sonia Kruger would be joining them on the show.
Adding that he thinks Campbell is a “big-mouth, piece of s*t,” the 45-year-old exclaimed that Krueger was attempting to woo him into making an appearance on the pair’s TV show Today Extra.
“I refuse to go on that show while he works there,” he spat.
But when his co-host tried to move on, Sandilands brought the conversation back to an incident that had ignited their feud “years ago” declaring he would hold his grudge “to the death.”
“I’ll **** on his grave before I go on that f**king show,” he said.
“And he’s not coming on here ever. The only way I’d let him on here would be if I could smack him in the face with a dead fish. Not hard, just embarrassingly light. Not in a violent way. Just like, ‘Haha, you got smacked in the face with a dead fish.’”
Later in the interview with Kruger, Sandilands took yet another swipe at Campbell, telling his guest he’d co-host the show with her when her “a*** puppet” was no longer there.
When quizzed by Kruger on why he felt so strongly about Campbell – who is the son of music icon Jimmy Barnes – Sandilands said: “He was a nice guy then he jumped on the bandwagon of hate all of a sudden, so I thought, ‘well bitch, you sit over there on your own then.”
“I saw him at the movies one day and he ran off in the other direction and he was petrified,” he elaborated.
“I did actually ask him this morning if he wanted to have a chat to you,” Kruger confessed.
“We should get you in here so you and David can smoke the peace pipe.”
