Top rating radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O have horrified many over the years with some of the most outrageous and controversial radio stunts in memory.
But the duo may have gone too far this time, after they featured an interview this morning with a man who boasted of his alleged sexual relationship with his sister, and proudly revealed that they had a child together – caring little about the risk of birth defects.
The guest, who was identified as ‘Nick’ said he’d been sleeping with his sibling – who is a half-sister – meaning they share one biological parent, their mother – for two years.
‘Yeah, we just laugh about it,’ the man boasted of the highly illegal relationship – which carries penalties of up to 25 years in prison.
‘There may be a weird moment when one of us will take it too far. Like in the bedroom, saying: “Oh you can’t do that to me, you’re my big brother,” or something.’
On the subject of the couple’s son, the man also had no regrets, and apparently no shame. Despite the profound danger of genetic abnormalities that comes from sibling incest, the man claims the child is fine.
How he could possibly know this for certain was not explained. He confessed that his sister preferred to not think about the very serious genetic and health implications of their crime for their child.
‘Nothing’s wrong with him, he’s a beautiful little boy,’ the man casually alleged.
‘We took the risk; we took the gamble. And at the moment there aren’t any issues.
‘We didn’t really want to know anything that could happen or would happen. So far so good.’
Nick’s nonchalant attitude to what is a very serious crime has offended many listeners. It remains to be seen if his family members – who allegedly know nothing of their relationship – were among those tuning in to hear him boast, and may have recognised his voice.
