But according to reports, Kanye West’s absence at the prestigious event was due to something much more sinister.
RadarOnline claims that the 36-year-old chose to ditch her troubled rapper beau after the two of them had an epic fight.
“Kim really cannot go anywhere with Kanye because they are not getting along at all,” an insider explained.
“He is always trying to upstage her and they are just not in a good place in their marriage right now.”
The duo have allegedly been at logger heads over the ongoing construction of their new mansion as well as Kardashian’s desire to expand their brood.
But the source told the publication that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s recent body obsession has left the couple at breaking point.
“She is in complete meltdown mode over the non-stop body shaming she has gotten,” the insider said.
“She desperately wants to get more liposuction and cool sculpting to fix her body issues and it has caused a lot of tension with Kanye.”
“He refuses to let her go under the knife anymore!”
The drastic plummet in the reality show’s popularity – which recorded a 33% drop in ratings for its season 13 premiere – is also causing tension between the couple.
“Kim is totally affected by all of this and it has caused her to really take a good look at herself,” the source added.
“She cannot stand to see all of this hate she is getting and it is starting to affect her entire life!”
