Kim Kardashian is facing severe backlash online, being accused of blackface after releasing a promotional photo for her new makeup line.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star this week announced the news of her first cosmetics line, with mixed reviews.

Whilst some fans of the reality star were delighted with the news, others put Kardashian under fire for apparently darkening her skin tone in the photo below which was initially deleted then re-uploaded.

“Black women get told to lighten meanwhile Kim spends her entire career in perpetual blackface and is lauded for her beauty,” one Twitter user wrote.
