In October last year, Kim Kardashian was at the centre of a terrifying burglary when her Paris apartment was broken into in the middle of the night. Kim was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewels but was left mostly physically unharmed.
Now, new information about the horrific night has come to light with the reality TV star’s police statement published for the first time by French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche.
Kim describes she ‘heard a noise at the door,’ and ‘shouted to ask who was there but no one responded.’
‘Both men were hooded, one had a ski mask and he had a cap and a jacket with ‘Police’ on it,’ Kim explained. ‘The individual with the ski goggles rips out my BlackBerry phone.’
Kim also detailed how the robbers were ‘European-type individuals’ who spoke to her in French, dressed in all black and were skinny.
Kim then described she was grabbed by the robbers and taken out to the hallway.
‘I was in a bathrobe, naked underneath. We went back to the bedroom and they pushed me into the bed,’ Kim said. ‘And at that point they tied me up and put plastic cables and scotch tape on my hands, and then taped my mouth and my legs. They took me to my bathroom, more specifically in my bathtub.’
The publication of Kim’s statement comes two days after a French judge charged the alleged mastermind of the Paris heist.
It is believed that 60-year-old Aomar A. was among six suspects charged last week over the October 3rd robbery. This latest arrest brings the total to 10 people who have now been charged, including five accused of playing a direct role in robbing Kim of jewelry worth some nine million euros.
