Kim Kardashian has found herself at the centre of an unwelcome and very nasty backlash after enduring that terrifying home invasion and robbery in Paris, with numerous outrageous theories circulating, claiming that it was all a publicity stunt.
The reality TV star, who is believed to still be deeply distressed after the horrifying attack, is now contending with online trolls openly attacking her story – which the police are treating as totally authentic. Some on social media are even cruelly saying it seems no coincidence that the vicious attack coincides with the worst ever ratings for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
‘This Kim Kardashian robbery was probably a publicity stunt, let’s remember who we are dealing with,’ wrote one hater, while another said: ‘Doubt @KimKardashian got robbed. Anything for ratings #kuwtk.’
One well-known fashion writer even told the Hollywood Reporter, ‘I am suspicious because I don’t think anything in her life happens that she hasn’t orchestrated. Where was the TV crew?’
The star’s biographer, Sean Smith, confesses to questioning some aspects of the story.
‘I am extremely surprised,’ he told the Daily Mail. ‘How or why she was on her own in a foreign city with all these jewels is just bananas. I do not understand it, especially as you see her bodyguard in pictures with her every day.
‘She has been clearly drumming up publicity for the show recently, going out without a bra and all of the rest. After a quiet few months she is everywhere again.’
While those close to the investigation say there is no doubt whatsoever the robbery was genuine, absolutely terrifying and anything but a stunt, Smith seems to suggest that the level of public cynicism surrounding the news might represent curtains for Kim.
‘She has sold every part of herself,’ he admits. ‘But I wonder if this incident may be the beginning of the end of Kim Kardashian.’
