He’s spent over a year out of the spotlight.
But with beloved showbiz legend wife Kerri-Anne by his side, John Kennerley made his highly-anticipated return to the Sydney social scene this week.
The 76-year-old, who suffered a near-death fall that left him wheelchair bound in March 2016, was well enough to attend popular restaurant Chiswick’s fifth birthday on Tuesday – and KAK couldn’t be more thrilled.
“It’s fantastic,” the 63-year-old told the Daily Telegraph. “I’m so happy.”
It’s been reported that John only spent a short time socializing with fellow guests at the event before returning home.
Simon, his son from a previous marriage who has returned home from a stint overseas to care for his father, also joined the couple at the bash.
After a long nine months, John was released from hospital just in time for Christmas.
At the time, his doting wife took to Instagram post a snap of the pair celebrating the milestone with loved ones.
“John’s home. This is the day I’ve been hoping and waiting for since March 6th. Thank you to each and everyone of you. Forever thankful,” she captioned the pic.
