Who would have thought a bit of Nutella could cause so much drama!
Instagram users have gone nuts (pun intended) after Kelly Clarkson posted a video of her two-year-old daughter sampling the chocolate sandwich spread.
Whilst the majority of the parents commenting on the adorable video of River delightedly eating a s slice of chocolaty goodness, others were quick to slam the singer for allowing her tot to try the treat.
‘Stop eating Nutella,” one posted, before linking the spread to cancer.
‘Nutella is PACKED with sugars. Don’t make your kids blow up,’ warned a fan.
‘Nutella is hella bad for you,’ another said.
In fact, one user is even reported to have accused poor Kelly of child abuse.
‘Giving food like this to a child is child abuse,’ wrote the enraged social media user.
Last year, controversial reports said the palm oil in Nutella could be carcinogenic. Studies have shown that there is a risk if it’s heated above 392 degrees Fahrenheit, which isn’t the case for the chocolate spread.
