While Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars are huge on social media, the show, which introduced them to us, is losing viewers after being on air for 13 seasons.

Given this highly anticipated season included the Paris robbery episode, it only drew in 1.58 million viewers according to Forbes.

It may sound like a lot, but in comparison, an average of 4.7 million viewers tuned in to the show in 2010.

Regardless, the show’s martriarch Kris Jenner believes there’s a reason why it’s been successful in the past.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Kris Jenner revealed that the reason why people connect with the show is because they each tend to identify with at least one of her family members.

“I think the reason why [Keeping Up With the Kardashians] became somewhat of a phenomenon and such a great success is because there’s so many of us,” Jenner said. “I think people just got emotionally attached and invested.”

The 61-year-old also said that her six children have all been through life milestones and often face problems that others can relate to.

“They’re getting married, getting divorced, having babies… Kourtney pulled Mason [Disick] out of her tummy… I mean, it’s like, the things that go on, you couldn’t make this stuff,” Jenner shared.
