According to a report by RadarOnline, the usually tight-lipped Katie Holmes has made a subtle reference to Tom Cruise’s absence in his daughter’s life.
The gossip site picked up on a recent interview Katie did with Entertainment Tonight, in which the actress gushes over how 10-year-old Suri was able to help her get into character for her role as a single mum in upcoming film, All We Had.
Speaking of the film – which is also the 37-year-old’s directorial debut – Katie credits Suri’s support for helping her play a struggling, impoverished single mother.
‘The mother-daughter theme [of] that unending love that you have for your mother and for your child is universal,’ Katie told ET.
‘She [Suri] gets a special thanks for everything, [for] every job I do, because she makes every day great and awesome and better.
‘I know myself better because of her, so she’ll always get a special thanks’.
Despite an alleged brief reunion in London this July, it has been reported that Tom Cruise has been an absent figure in Suri’s life for the last four years.
