Former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie has gone back in time to 1996, wearing her Sumer Bay uniform as part of a themed radio segment.
Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty celebrated the release of Independence Day: Resurgence with a show themed around the year the original Independence Day movie was released: 1996.
Tim Blackwell was dressed in a F.R.I.E.N.D.S shirt from his wardrobe from 1996, while Kate Ritchie, who played Sally Fletcher, dressed up in her Summer Bay High uniform.
Ritchie, who is now a Nova radio host explained her outfit to listeners, ‘It’s tartan in fabric and it looks a bit like the Summer Bay high school uniform.’
As well as wearing a Summer Bay high school uniform, Blackwell reminded everyone that Ritchie was also ‘schtooping Heath Ledger in 96.’
‘Well I don’t think you say schtooping,’ said Ritchie. ‘I think it was a romantic rendezvous in the back of a panel van.’
Late actor Heath Ledger played played rebel Scott Irwin on Home and Away.
Ritchie shared the images on Instagram, saying, ‘The things I do for my boss.’
