Inspiring Melbourne care worker Tziporah Malkah – formerly known as actress and model Kate Fischer – has this week set the record straight in New Idea about misconceptions surrounding her life, including the aftermath of her breakup with billionaire James Packer.
Now 42 and working happily with elderly dementia patients, she is speaking out – and posing for a beautiful photo shoot for New Idea – after recent unwelcome intrusion into her life, which has included unkind photographs taken without her knowledge, and a lot of incorrect speculation about her life.
‘For so long, I had to put up with false rumours that I got multi-millions out of splitting from [James Packer},’ she says.
‘Once, I was at the supermarket when someone yelled out, “nice job, getting 10 million bucks for lying on your back Kate!” I’d hear these types of awful remarks for years.’
With Tziporah now finding fulfilment in her caring and meaningful career path helping the aged, if she could say anything to the young Kate Fischer, what would it be?
‘Don’t drop out of school, study to do something worthwhile – and don’t go round kissing goannas hoping they’ll become princes!’
