Despite his marital woes, as Karl Stefanovic sauntered through Sydney’s international airport on November 3, the recently single television presenter looked like he didn’t have a care in the world.
Dragging a suitcase behind him and with his shirt buttons undone and tie removed, the Today host’s casual demeanour and cheeky grin said it all: this was a man who was ready to cut loose!
Exclusive New Idea sources confirmed that while estranged wife Cassandra Thorburn was left looking after the kids, 42-year-old Karl was jetting on a boys’ trip to New York.
While the Stateside trip was partly business – he will be part of the Channel Nine team covering the US presidential election – the party-loving larrikin couldn’t resist the opportunity to let his hair down with friends.
