Former Today host Karl Stefanovic has been working to rebuild his career since the ‘Ubergate’ scandal, and now the TV favourite has confessed he is to blame for the incident.

Talking on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Karl, 44, set the record straight by explaining it was his fault. When Kyle Sandilands suggested to the TV host that he only lost his job on account of his brother Peter’s actions, Karl was quick to shut this down.
“That’s not true. I think I was more responsible for that than anyone else,” Karl admitted.
Karl went on to suggest it was more than the Ubergate scandal that cost him, Pete and his sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys their jobs.
Negative public sentiment towards Karl mounted over his relationship with now-wife Jasmine. Once the ill-will reached fever pitch, bosses had no choice but to release Karl from Today.
“We weren’t doing anything wrong, we were just living our lives. But it just kept on coming and coming,” Karl said.
Despite the turn of events, Karl says he is at peace with how everything panned out and is loving married life with Jasmine.
“I have a great time in life, I’ve got a great love and a beautiful family. And so you just keep marching forward,” Karl said.
