After a year of controversy, this Channel 9 star is on his way to becoming Australia’s king of come-back.
Former Today host Karl Stefanovic says he’s been trying to be a ‘better person’ over the last two years.
In a candid interview with Nine Entertainment on Thursday, the 44-year-old opened up about his experience over the past two years and his marriage to Jasmine Yarbrough.

Karl is set to host the second season of Channel 9’s This Time Next Year and has taken on the duty with a great deal of heart.
“If I’m presenting that show then I’ve got to live by it as well,” the tv star said, opening up his own year-long transformation.
“I’ve tried over the last 12 months to two years to be a better person and to try and be easier to live with and to try and make life easier for those around me and it’s a motto I continue to live by.”
While This Time Next Year is about yearly targets, Karl says he’s trying to be a better person every day.

The Channel 9 star has gone through a great deal of change over the past year, including marrying Jasmine Yarbrough after his very public divorce from Cassandra Thorburn in 2016.
Karl and Jasmine announced their engagement in February last year and held their lavish star-studded wedding in Mexico in December.
Since their marriage, Karl’s life has completely turned around, not only with his return for season two of This Time Next Year but also through producing episodes for 60 minutes.
After hosting This Time Next Year, the Channel 9 heavyweight says he is inspired by interviewees who strive to achieve their goals even if they don’t fully achieve them.
“The view from the top of Mount Everest is great, but the view halfway up is also very good,” he said.
This Time Next Year season two airs on Nine on Monday August 12 at 8:40pm.
