In the rough times following the split of momager Kris Jenner and her first husband Robert Kardashian, a Bobby Sr. got engaged to one of his own relatives.
Revealed by RadarOnline, Kardashian’s friend and pastor Kenn Gullicksen confirmed that Kardashian and his third cousin Denice Halicki were ‘kissing’ cousins’ – a relationship that while perfectly legal and by most standards morally sound, has today garnered outrageous ‘incest’ headlines in the US.
Denice Halicki was the widow of filmmaker H. B. Halicki, and according to Gullicksen caught Kardashian’s eye because ‘he’d been through a lot and he had a need to kind of return to his roots, and Denice was both beautiful and Armenian.’
Jerry Oppenheimer confirms the relationship in his book The Kardashians: An American Drama: ‘Robert was now seriously involved romantically with his third cousin, Denice.’
Kardashian was well aware of the family connection when the couple got together. They were briefly engaged before the pair went through a brutal break up in 1996.
Kris said of Denise that she was ‘really cool’ and was ‘especially amazing to my kids.’
