Kanye West started telling people he was an “alien on a mission to help earth” during his breakdown. That’s the bizarre allegation published today by top-selling US magazine Star.
The Stronger rapper was admitted to a psych ward after having a meltdown at the end of November, and by the time he was hospitalised he wasn’t making a lot of sense to those around him, according to the new report.
A source told Star: “When he first went to a psyche ward he was hearing voices.”
Another insider added: “He started telling people he’s a ‘starseed’, an alien on a mission to help earth.”
The breakdown is thought to have been triggered when Kanye, 39, had been taking anti-anxiety and anti-depression medication, but allegedly not always the correct dosages.
He is said to have thought people were “after him” and even lashed out against the family of his wife Kim Kardashian.
A third source added: “He actually said he thinks the Kardashians are out to ruin him and that they are in on the conspiracy.”
The outspoken hip hop star has since been released from hospital and has been comforted by Kim, but sources say the Kardashians are worried if his behaviour returns he could end up spilling their darkest secrets.
