The emergency 911 call made on behalf of Kanye West has been released.
Physician Dr Michael Frazam reportedly made the call, saying that West was behaving ‘erratically’ before he was taken away, handcuffed to a stretcher.
The leaked tapes reveal West was put on a ‘5150’ psychiatric hold which means officials can involuntarily restrain someone who is feared to be a danger to themselves or others.
People magazine reported sources close to West said he is suffering from a ‘spiritual crisis’.
‘He feels like he’s under spiritual attack, and has been for a while,’ the source told People.
‘Sometimes, darkness creeps in, and Kanye wrestles against it. He talks about that a lot. It’s exhausting, and it takes everything he’s got. He’s just so tired now; he’s very low energy and feels like there’s a grieving in his spirit. It’s very hard to explain, but something has happened recently, where he’s not the (Kanye) that everyone knows,’ the source added.
