TV chef Justine Schofield has reportedly split with her Channel Seven presenter boyfriend of three years, Matt Doran.
A source close to the former MasterChef star told The Daily Telegraph the pair had ended their relationship after enduring two years of long-distance while Doran took on a hosting role in the US.
“Unfortunately it just didn’t work out for whatever reason,” the insider said.
“They tried really hard and Justine especially made a lot of effort to travel to the US as much as she could.”
News of their break up comes as a shock to fans, as just months ago it was announced Doran would be moving back to Australia to work on Seven’s Sunday Night.
But in a telltale sign that things between the couple were on the rocks, the Everyday Gourmet host reportedly “unfollowed” her beau on all social media platforms shortly after his return home.
Speaking with Adelaide Now back in 2016, Justine revealed that having to travel between the US and Australia was starting to wear thin on the lovebirds.
“I’m exhausted,” she confessed.
“It’s taking a toll.”
Doran concurred with his foodie partner in an interview with Daily Mail.
“It’s challenging, absolutely,” he said of their transcontinental romance.
“It’s tough, won’t lie.”
