Justin Bieber gave his pet puppy to one of his dancers, but now the young Chow Chow named Todd needs life-saving surgery.
Bieber got Todd only last Autumn, however couldn’t look after him because of his busy schedule – so dancer C.J. Salvador adopted the dog.
But after a recent vet check-up, the seven-month-old dog has been found to be suffering from severe hip dysplasia and is expected to lose his ability to walk once he turns one.
The veterinarians are able to perform an operation on Todd, however because the surgery is so expensive a GoFundMe page has been setup to gather donations from Bieber’s many fans.
Salvador has taken to Facebook to clarify that he adopted the dog, and hasn’t asked Bieber “for money because he has nothing to do with the situation,” and the condition had only been found after he’d taken to dog into his family.
At time of publishing, the donation goal has been met with some help from celebrity friends such as Jaden Smith and Todd will be able to receive the life-saving surgery.
However, it’s not the first time that 22-year-old Bieber has abandoned one of his pets. Previously he’s had a pet snake, hamster and even a monkey.
