Aussie icon Olivia Newton-John has been forced to cancel a string of concert dates after a debilitating health crisis got too much for her.
The Let’s Get Physical songbird won’t be going anywhere near a stage after a flare up of sciatica left her in agonising pain.
‘We are so sorry to announce that the Olivia concerts scheduled for May will be postponed due to a bad issue with Olivia’s sciatica,’ reads a statement from the star’s management.
‘Once the dates are rescheduled we will post the new dates ASAP. Apologies for any inconvenience.’
Sciatica is usually due to due to a spinal disc herniation pressing on nerve roots, and often affects the lower back and legs, sometimes requiring surgery. There has been no statement on whether the star will be going under the knife.
