A jury has heard the final conversation Warriena Wright had before she allegedly fell from a surfers paradise balcony in 2014.
Gable Tostee, who met Wright on Tinder, is on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court after she fell from the 14th-floor of the apartment.
The 30-year-old has pleaded not guilty.
News.com.au reports a witness told the court he heard Wright say she wanted to go home. “I want to go home’, I heard her say, “help” and at that point I said to her, “go back inside” and it wasn’t long after that she fell,’ he said.
‘She fell straight past where I was standing on the balcony and ricocheted off a few balconies below us and kept going to the ground.’
After Wright fell from the balcony, Tostee apparently called his dad to come and pick him up.
‘Hello Dad, I might have a bit of a situation,’ he says.
After explaining the situation, he says, ‘She kept beating me up and whatever and, um, I locked her out on the balcony and I think she might have jumped off.
‘There’s a million cops around my building, I’m f***ed.
‘I don’t know what to do.’
‘I didn’t cause this, I didn’t push her or anything.’
