Julia Roberts is on the brink of a $330 million divorce from husband Danny Moder, according to US reports.
The couple had ‘an almighty row’ while on a recent family in Hawaii and the state of their marriage now looks worrying, sources tell InTouch magazine.
‘The true nature of the couple’s failing marriage was exposed,’ an insider is quoted by the publication as saying.
Among the couple’s reported gripes are their differing parenting styles – Danny, 47, thinks Julia, 48, is too strict – and conflicting work schedules – Julia doesn’t understand why Danny continues to work when she’s so rich!
‘[Danny] hates being thought of as “Mr Julia Roberts”,’ reveals the source. ‘He wants to be seen as the head of the house… and told her so, adding that he was fed up with her controlling ways before he took off down the beach.’
The latest rift between the pair has come in the wake of persistent split reports and just months after another epic argument reportedly led to Danny fleeing to their second home.
And while the couple have so far managed to keep things together for the sake of their kids Phinnaeus and Hazel, both 11, and Henry, nine, insiders say it’s only a matter of time before the pair end up duking it out in court.
‘Danny and Julia are both stubborn people who always believe they are in the right,’ the insider told InTouch. ‘They still love each other and there’s a possibility that they could reverse course, but the outlook is bleak. Julia is praying that they can somehow work thing out and stave off a pricey divorce. But right now, divorce is imminent.’
