Only one thing could tear J.R Reyne away from his new baby son – going on the road with Jessica Mauboy, former Home and Away favourite Bonnie Sveen and the rest of the band from Channel Seven’s new hit drama The Secret Daughter.
‘Fingers crossed it will happen,’ he laughs. ‘It would be the best fun and we would make some great music. I would love to do it, so who knows?’
The son of Australian Crawl legend James Reyne and former model Kim Ellmer, 31-year-old J.R has a real shock pedigree. But co-star Jess, 27, amazed him with her hard work, professionalism and raw ability on set.
Playing her love interest Dan – singer and guitarist of cover band Cardiac Arrest – wasn’t too tough then?
J.R grins: ‘We clicked straight away and became great mates.’
