Jessica Rowe revealed a terrifying encounter with an armed robber during Thursday nights Studio 10 program.
Discussing an armed robbery news story, fellow host Sarah Harris asked the 47-year-old: ‘If some drug-affected man held a gun to your head… would you care what they had to say?’
‘Yes I would. It happened to me, and I would,’ Jessica told the shocked panal.
‘You’ve had a gun pointed at your head?’ asked a stunned Sarah.
‘Yes! Years ago, in Leichhardt, my bag was taken and I was shoved on the ground with my then boyfriend,’ the veteran journalist replied.
‘And two young men, who had drug issues, one of them had a gun… he pointed it at my head and it was horrific.’
She then added: ‘And I will never forget that.’
Jessica then went on to reveal she had attended court during the trial of one of the assailants.
I wanted to see them and that helped me enormously because I felt I needed to look that person in the face,’
‘So I think it does make a difference. That helped me get through it… because at the time, I was terrified’.
‘For me, it does help to put a face to this person, otherwise your thoughts do run away with you,’
