After taking a year off to focus on her health, former Packed to the Rafters star Jessica Marais is now ready to get back to work.
Last week it was announced that Jess would be returning to the small screen in Nine Network’s crime thriller mini-series Halifax: Retribution. She’ll be acting alongside her former co-star Rebecca Gibney and Aussie actor Anthony LaPaglia.

“I am so excited to be working with Rebecca again, and on such an iconic drama,” Jess said, in a statement.
The Australian actress split from Home and Away star James Stewart in 2015, but the former couple remain amicable for the sake of their daughter, Scout, 7.
While Jess has since moved on with new boyfriend Jake Holly, it seems the pair will have to adjust to a long-distance relationship, as the Sydney-based photographer announced on social media last week that he was moving to the US for three months.
“Time to re-calibrate, create and spend time with some besties,” Jake shared.
“Big love and thanks to everyone who’s been by my side during this hectic time. Things are getting better and it’s only up from here.”
If the couple do decide to go their own ways, it will mean a fresh start for Jess – on both a professional and personal level.
