Alarmed Jennifer Aniston is pleading with her 84-year-old father John Aniston to quit showbiz, fearing the soap opera legend is ‘working himself to the grave,’ GLOBE reports.
GLOBE’s bombshell report reveals the Days Of Our Lives star, who is known to battle heart issues, has been spotted looking ‘haggard and feeble.’
A source told the publication, ‘The last time Jen saw him, she was shocked at how frail he looked.’
‘A lot of John’s loved ones, including Jen, are begging him to retire, but he won’t hear of it,’ the source adds. ‘Jen’s worried it’s going to kill him.’
The veteran actor, who has played mobster Victor Kiriakis on the popular daytime drama since 1986, suffered a massive heart attack in 2006.
‘Jen has been on tenterhooks ever since, fearing for his health,’ says the insider.
John, who shares his home with second wife Sherry Rooney, the mother of his son AJ, 28, refuses to help and forces her husband to ‘carry his own groceries and get his own papers and mail from the front yard.’
‘Everyone knows Jen hasn’t always been close with her father, but she has his best interests at heart – especially after losing her mum.’
Jen’s mother Nancy Dow passed away at the age of 79 in 2016 after suffering a stroke.
‘No one wants to deal with losing the reality of both parents,’ a friend told GLOBE.
Jen, nor John, have responded to GLOBE’s report.
