It’s no secret that Jennifer Aniston had a strained, practically non-existent relationship with mother Nancy Dow prior to her death in May.
But in a shock new twist that will no doubt come as yet another cause for concern for the Hollywood A-lister, her late mother’s caregiver is set to release a tell-all book documenting the full extent of their bitter feud.
According to In Touch, the unnamed carer was privy to a number of phone conversations and several tense meetings between the pair and is seriously considering exposing their ‘terrible’ relationship.
‘The caregiver was present for the few phone calls and even fewer meetings between Jen and Nancy,’ an insider tells the US publication. ‘She wants to expose the real Jennifer Aniston.’
According to the publication, the actress’ real life persona couldn’t be further removed from her beloved onscreen character Rachel in Friends.
In fact, following their falling out in 1996 over an interview Nancy gave to tabloid TV show Hard Copy without her daughter’s consent, the pair’s relationship never recovered, with Jen flat-out refusing to take possession of her mother’s ashes when she died.
‘The world sees Jen as adorable Rachel from Friends, but the real story is more like reversed Mommie Dearest,’ the insider explains.
If a book deal does go ahead, it’s safe to say it will come up against huge opposition from the 47-year-old’s camp, with the insider agreeing that the star will do everything in her power to shut it down.
