Janet Jackson’s ex-husband, James DeBarge, has long claimed the pop star gave up their secret love child for adoption more than three decades ago, America’s National Enquirer reports today.
Now The Enquirer has revealed the results of a secret DNA test that brings the mystery to a shocking conclusion.
The DeBarge family tells the publication that Tiffany Whyte, 31, who grew up in the Philadelphia foster care system, is Janet and James’ long-lost daughter.
James’ mother, Etterlene DeBarge, told The Enquirer that she and Tiffany previously took a DNA test which confirmed the claim.
The Enquirer, however, organised another DNA test, and both James and Tiffany submitted samples at accredited facilities in Pennsylvania and California.
“It is for sure that James and Janet are my parents,” Tiffany tells The Enquirer. “I want to know the truth… I’ve been waiting for this moment for 31 years. I always wanted a father. Always wanted a dad. I would like for James to be a part of my life.”
James, 53, tells The Enquirer he just wants to know the truth, adding: “I don’t like speculating.”
Sadly, the results have concluded that James is not Tiffany’s father.
The Motown star says he will continue to search for his child.
Janet, 50, who is wed to billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana, has stayed out of the spotlight since giving birth to son, Eissam, in January
