The Jackson family has been reportedly torn apart following the birth of Janet Jackson’s first child, Eissa.
Janet welcomed the new addition on January 3, but while she should be basking in baby joy, a source close to the family has told RadarOnline.com that the Jackson clan are currently up in arms.
“Of course they are all happy that the baby is healthy and that there were not any major complications because of her age,” the insider said.
“But Katherine and Joe, who are both outspoken Jehova’s Witnesses are really bothered by the fact that Janet named her son, Eissa, because the baby’s name is derivative of Jesus!”
The source has also revealed that the family aren’t happy that Janet and husband, Wissam Al Mana are intending on raising their child as a Muslim.
“Joe and Katherine are devoutly religious and she knows how much it hurts them that she is going to raise Eissa in a religion that is different from their own.”
After announcing last April that she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour to focus on “planning” a family, Janet confirmed she was expecting in October last year.
Showing off her growing baby bump, the singer told PEOPLE the couple were thanking “God for the blessing.”
