Australia got to know a different side to Dane Swan during his time on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and now that the show has wrapped all eyes are on him and his long-term girlfriend, Taylor Wilson.
During an exit interview with News Corp, the ex Collingwood player opened up about marriage, revealing that it ‘won’t be this year’ but will take place ‘some time in the future.’
‘I’ve had plenty of time to think about it [marriage]. It won’t be this year,’ Dane explained. ‘This is our fun year. I’ve always said the year I finish footy is a gap year to go away and travel.’
Dane, a Brownlow medallist, retired from the AFL last year.
‘It won’t be this year, I might be broke so I won’t be able to I guess that is the natural progression of life so some time in the future I guess.’
After spending six weeks in the South African Jungle, Taylor, Dane’s girlfriend of nine years, was shocked to see him completing chores in the jungle.
‘I have been really impressed with him taking to toilet-emptying duties, because I don’t think he has ever cleaned the toilet at home,’ the US born WAG laughed. ‘Now I have seen him hold pans and do the dishes, so he is broadening his horizons. Things are going to change.’
Prior to his time in the jungle, Dane was known for his bad boy antics off the field, which the 33-year-old delves into in his recently released autobiography, ‘Dane Swan: My Story.’
‘I hate the word troublemaker bad boy type of thing because I have tattoos and I’ve been in trouble for drinking with the footy club,’ Dane wrote. ‘If you go around trying to fix what people don’t like about you, you are going to be running around for a very long time so I’ve never really worried about that.’
