Designer Juliet Ashworth will be reprising her role as a judge, but this season will also see interiors icon Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen join the show as a brand-new host and judge.

Meet Razz and Mark!

It is set to be one of the most memorable stays when the teams visit opal miner Mark and receptionist Razz’s property in the outback town of Coober Pedy. In an effort to help boost their income, the couple decided to turn their dugout into a hotel.

“It doesn’t just help us out, it helps our whole town out. Coober Pedy needs to be put back on the map,” says Razz, 47.

“I love this property, it has been my home for the past 30 years,” adds Mark, 53. “There has been plenty of blood, sweat and tears to get to the house to the current state.”

Their unique and luxurious property is located in the heart of the desert, eight hours drive from Adelaide. But despite the location, their guests can escape the desert heat as the dugout remains a cool 24 degrees all year round.

When it comes to what Razz and Mark are looking for in a hotel, they list a few must-haves.

“A comfortable bed, good shower with a shower caddy, heating and cooling, clean and ironed linen, and ideally, away from the city,” they say.
