Pack your bags, Instant Hotel is returning to our screens to showcase some of the best holiday destinations Australia has to offer. Join four new teams as they transform their homes into holiday rentals and compete to be crowned the best Instant Hotel.
Designer Juliet Ashworth will be reprising her role as a judge, but this season will also see interiors icon Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen join the show as a brand-new host and judge.
Meet Gene and Sharon!
Property manager, part-time model, marriage celebrant and mother of two Sharon, 44, and her entrepreneur husband Gene, 72, love a life of luxury.
“When we holiday, we only do ve stars. We only like to do the best if we can,” admits Sharon. “One of our favourite sayings is ‘some people have all a–e and no class’. I’d like to think that we have class.”
And the guests can certainly expect class from their Instant Hotel.
Surrounded by World Heritage rainforest, their English-style manor is located 45 minutes south of Cairns.
“There is no place like this in the world, offering both luxury accommodation and complete privacy,” says Sharon. “The moment you enter the private 3km driveway you will feel how special this location is. We offer a private chef, massages or any other special request.”
The couple have never rented out the property before but they are looking forward to welcoming guests – on one condition. “They must be tidy and respectful,” Gene says.
