It’s no secret it’s been a tumultuous few months for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
And now it seems the couple’s marriage is being pushed to its limits.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the mother-of-two broke down after receiving a phone call that her husband was being hospitalised for his mental health issues, just weeks after she was held at gunpoint in Paris.
“What’s going on? What’s wrong? Don’t scare me please,” the 36-year-old cried.
“I get a call from one of Kanye’s friends and my heart drops,” she recalled to the camera of the conversation which took place in November of last year.
“They’re not telling me anything and I am so scared. I don’t know what to do.”
The reality TV star – who was in New York at the time to pay tribute to her late father Robert Kardashian at the Angel Ball – made the call to immediately fly home to be by the troubled rapper’s bedside.
“I think he really needs me and I need to get home,” she said.
“I think it’s the right thing to do. I don’t even think it’s an option. I have to get home.”
Later, when questioned by her family about her husband’s decision to cancel his tour, Kim avoided the topic.
“I’m not in the mood to get into it right now,” she explained to Khloe and Kris.
“I’m just emotionally drained and exhausted. But everything will be okay. This is forcing him to take much needed time off. That will be really good for him.”
Kim also revealed that she blamed herself for Kanye’s meltdown as he was forced to pick up the pieces following her terrifying Paris ordeal.
“I feel a sense of responsibility with the pressure of taking care of everything,” she said.
“I’ve been looking to him to take care of everything while I stay home. He never takes time off. Sometimes in life you just need time off.”
“I’m so drained,” she added.
“Kanye said, ‘This is what for better or worse means.’ This is being a wife. This is what you got to do.”
The star also opened up about how Kanye’s issues had caused her to second guess their decision to have another baby.
“I feel like I need time to see,” she confessed.
