Just months after announcing plans to start a family it looks like Ian Thorpe may have split from his boyfriend, Ryan Channing.

Ian Thorpe reveals he’s excited to start a family
The couple are yet to confirm rumours, however the clues to the split could be in their Instagram accounts.
With neither Ian or Ryan posting photographs of each other on their accounts since January when they were on holiday together in St. Barts, fans have questioned whether they have quietly called it quits.
“Did you break up with Ian Thorpe?” one user commented on Ryan’s photo of the couple.
Upon closer inspection it’s also clear that while Ian still follows model Ryan on social media, the model has cut ties and unfollowed Olympian Ian in recent weeks.
The couple had been together for four years and had pushed for marriage equality before the plebiscite to change Australian marriage laws.
They’d also discussed starting a family together, with Ian talking to Daily Mail just last month.
“We’re talking about it and have for a while, but it’s still early days,” Ian told the publication at the time.
“We decided to visit the clinic in LA – it’s all part of the plan at this stage.”
