They’ve made no secret of their ongoing adoration for one another – but Hugh Sheridan has taken his friendship with Delta Goodrem one step further with some very surprising comments.
The Packed To The Rafters star opened up about his ‘love’ for the singer and actress on TV lsat week, even going so far as to say that they had discussed marriage and children.
Responding to persistent romance rumours about the couple – who regularly post loved-up and affectionate photos of one another on social media – Hugh revealed they were just friends.
‘We see photos…and we go, ‘Okay put a ring on it, have kits, let’s get this next chapter going,” Hugh laughed to host Larry Emdur on The Morning Show.
‘We talked about it. I just don’t think so. I do love Delta, I love her so much, she is one of my dearest and best friends…but that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s anything more than that.’
Hugh continued to gush over the singer though, adding: ‘Any guy that snaps Delta up would be incredibly lucky. I’m sure she has a whole line. But look, maybe one day we will get married, who knows? You never say never!’
Regardless of the rumours though, insiders close to the pair say they’re just friends.
‘They make a gorgeous couple but there’s nothing romantic to their relationship.’
