Now brothers Luke and Cody are sitting pretty at winners of season four of House Rules, they’re reflecting on the bumpy beginning of their journey.
The Queensland brothers say they actually applied for the second season of the hit renovation show.
‘Luke saw an application and went for it,’ Cody recalls.
‘I thought he was being ridiculous. I thought it was such a waste of time, I told him it was never going to happen so I refused to fill out the application.’
But luckily for Cody, his brother didn’t back down and he managed to convince him to sign on the dotted line.
‘He kept bugging me and now here we ae coming out at winners,’ Cody laughs.
Even Luke, who was the one pushing for the pair to apply, admits he didn’t think they had a chance of making it onto the show let alone winning!
‘We really didn’t take it seriously,’ he confesses.
‘We didn’t hear anything for ages and then we got a call out of the blue.’
