Their fellow teams slammed them for being “ungrateful”, but Troy and Bec stand by their claim that they have reasons to complain about their new home.
“There are a lot of things that need to be fixed up,” Troy grumbles to New Idea.
“We haven’t got the shower screen up and running, the cooktop doesn’t work and my sensor lights got knocked out during the build. The house looks beautiful, but it’s not really functioning like I think it should.”

Troy’s complaint comes just days after he told News.com.au that the couple would be saving for the next year to build up enough money to fix the botched job.
In last week’s episode, viewers watched on as SA couple Kate and Harry copped a fail for their ‘Kim Kardashian’ inspired bedroom for Bec’s 14-year-old daughter and proceeded to plummet to the bottom of the leader board.

Tasmanian paramedics Sean and Ella we’re also criticized for their ensuite makeover that Troy says was “pretty much a nightmare.”

But while he says that the “basic” renovation at the hands of Team TAS and Team SA have left them “with a lot of work to do,” he still stands by his claim that the pair have no regrets about quitting their jobs to appear on the show.
