Get set for the most explosive series of House Rules ever, with host Johanna Griggs revealing there will be more scandal and drama than ever before.
The much-loved star tells New Idea a series overhaul means ‘no contestant is safe’. And she says one team will bring dramatic showdowns at every twist and turn.
‘There is a team who are quite unapologetic about everything they say and everything they do,’ Johanna cryptically reveals.
‘It’s funny, because people will think they’ve been chosen for their personalities, but in fact, they were chosen because they have the worst house we could find in Australia.
‘And they’ve turned out to be this team who, from day one, have just thrown a hand grenade into the other teams the whole time. They just don’t back down from that point.
‘And in my head, I look at them and I think: “Do you have any idea what’s going to happen? The public reaction you’re going to get?”
‘But, to be honest, I think this couple are quite unique and they just don’t care. But I do think they’ll feel quite bad by the end.’
Johanna also explains there are a lot more surprises in store for the contestants this year, meaning that teams will need to be ‘on their toes’ throughout the whole show, largely thanks to flamboyant new judge Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
‘I cannot believe how much of a change one man can bring to a show,’ she says.
