Building tensions on hit reality show House Rules are set to explode tonight, with controversial duo Fiona and Nicole at the centre of one of the most bizarre and emotionally fraught clashes in the show’s history.
The divisive duo – who have declared a take-no-prisoners strategy when dealing with the other teams, after claiming the others are all ganging up on them – refuse to negotiate or back down when it comes to their vision for their zone. A nasty confrontation with Aaron ensues, with a furious Fiona complaining that ‘Aaron thinks I’m a pushover’.
‘We are not doormats,’ she rants.
Nadia has already made her feelings known, claiming that ‘the other teams have settled into a mob mentality’.
Describing their chosen colour scheme as a ‘brilliant paint choice’, it seems the women feel there is no room to budge with their neighbours – with Fiona determined to produce ‘the best lounge room ever’,
It seems that Aaron isn’t prepared to back down either, announcing that he won’t let the duo paint over his side of the wall, where their two zones meet.
What happens next remains to be seen – but a promo for the show reveals a finished ceiling that is literally divided down the middle with two very different colours, yellow and grey.
Exasperated judge LLB describes the mess as ‘battle lines’ brought to life, while a stunned Wendy is shown raging that ‘They were so bloody minded,’ and confessing that she ‘cannot believe the arrogance.’
How will it end? Fiona has made clear where she thinks it’s all going, revelling in her philosophy that ‘revenge is a dish best served cold.’
