House Rules star Bec has spoken out about the sacrifices she made appear on the hit show.
Speaking exclusively to New Idea, the controversial mum-of-two revealed she gave up everything to enter the reno competition, including her job as an account manager for a refrigeration company.

“I actually had to hand in my resignation,” the 39-year-old confesses.
Used to working 14-hour days, Bec says: “This isn’t hard, our lives are hard. My day starts at 6am and I don’t stop until 10.30 at night.”
Her candid confession comes after fellow contestants slammed the star and her ‘battler’ beau Troy for being “ungrateful.”

The NSW couple told New Idea that the “nightmare” renovation of their house had left them out of pocket.
“There are a lot of things that need to be fixed up,” Troy said.

“We haven’t got the shower screen up and running, the cooktop doesn’t work and my sensor lights got knocked out during the build. The house looks beautiful, but it’s not really functioning like I think it should.”
