While all the teams on House Rules may be renovation rookies – it was without a doubt Luke and Cody who were most out of their comfort zone.
Not only were the brothers the youngest team and the only duo without children, they were also furthest from home.
Living in Dalby a small rural Queensland town, Luke and Cody tell New Idea they really struggled spending so much time in cities while competing on the show.
At the end of the show all we wanted to do was go far away,’ Cody admits.
‘Just go into the middle of nowhere and get away from it all. If we ever got a day off or after a build we would go somewhere really remote and just sit there. I’d take off my shoes and rub my feet in the dirt’!’
