The first House Rules elimination took place, with NSW team Troy and Bec biting the dust following Aaron and Danielle’s renovation.
Despite earning praise for his renovation, Troy was particularly disappointed after receiving backlash and a poor score from Aaron and Danielle for his and Bec’s zone.
Speaking to AAA, Daniella says she can see why the Sydney painter may have been upset, but labelled her decision as fair.
“They were in such a pressure-cooker environment, being the last renovation,” she remarked.
“Obviously Troy gets very disheartened with some of the feedback but he does dish it out himself.”
The couple also remarked that they were upset that Troy and Bec’s clash with Fiona and Nicole saw a wall put up between their ensuite and main bedroom when they wanted the space to be open plan.
However, Aaron and Daniella still expressed delight at making it through to the next round, citing twins Andrew and Jono as their biggest threat.
“The boys do their research and prep work so they are a definite danger,” Aaron said.
“They are learning … and evolving as the show goes on.”
