Having anonymously, with Bella, dropped off a still-unconscious Tommy – who is yet to be identified – at the hospital, Irene is struggling under the weight of her terrible secret.

And when Irene this week offers Jasmine’s (Sam Frost) newly vacated room to Willow (Sarah Roberts), who jumps at the opportunity to move downstairs, she spots Tommy’s blood on the bedspread.

Irene desperately begins scrubbing at the incriminating evidence, but will she be caught out by Willow?

“Irene’s guilt is overwhelming her,” says Lynne. “What’s more, it’s now hit the news and everyone in the town is talking about this ‘John Doe’ who is lying unconscious in hospital – and that only makes Irene’s guilt even worse. She also feels it’s only a matter of time before the police put two and two together and come knocking on her door.”

Meanwhile, Leah (Ada Nicodemou) picks up on the fact that her dear friend and fellow Diner owner is not her usual upbeat self.

And then Colby (Tim Franklin) reveals there has been a breakthrough in the case – Tommy’s car was found on Irene’s street.

Irene may well reach breaking point!

This follows some of the most gripping scenes to ever air in the history of Home and Away.

Over the past few weeks, Bella’s dependence on her new online ‘friend’ Tommy had been intensifying. However, the naive teen certainly never imagined the terrifying turn of events.

Speaking to New Idea, Courtney Miller opened up about last weeks dramatic scenes.

“Bella is only 16 and Tommy’s intentions are definitely less platonic than hers.

“She’d been trying to convince herself that he just wanted to be her friend, but now she quickly realises that is not the case. Tommy’s definitely not all that he appeared to be when they were chatting to each other online.”
