His family has been at a loss to help him, and Ben’s (Rohan Nichol) downward spiral is far from over.
For the father of two, still facing charges over drug trafficking, it’s clearly becoming all too much.

After yet another furious outburst at his shocked friends and family, Ben storms out of
Salt.
Later, Ben leaves Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor) shaking their heads in disbelief when he tells them to get on with their lives and pretend he doesn’t exist.
“It’s difficult to know what Ben is thinking, but he’s in such a dark place,” says Rohan. “He needs to be surrounded, but not crushed, in this time ofcrisis.”
Soon after, Ben heads back to Salt to once again drown his sorrows. And this time John (Shane Withington) is there to lend a sympathetic ear.
But while John urges Ben never to give up hope, he can’t help but be fearful that Ben is about to reach the end of his tether. And John has every reason to harbour serious concerns for his fellow SummerBay resident.
