Angelina Jolie is on the comeback trail – stepping out on the red carpet for her new film, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, accompanied by most of her children. This comes amid some startling revelations from the actress about her secret pain.
But Angelina was all smiles on premiere night, as she posed with kids Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne, Zahara, and Knox at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

Looking stunning in a black gown, complete with a decorative scorpion on her hip, Angelina teamed with the film’s creepy theme. The star seemed on top of the world, after recently enduring a divorce from Brad Pitt, and custody wrangling over the kids. But it hasn’t always been so easy for her, with the star giving some disturbing insight into her recent struggles.
‘There have been times in my life where I have felt—and maybe I’ve hidden them well from the public—where I have not felt free, I have not felt safe, I have not felt like free of harm,’ she told E!.
‘I have felt small. I have felt cornered. And it has taken a lot to find that again, probably more of that today than I was in the last four years’.
While she’s thrilled to be back making major films, Angelina says she also taking pleasure in being a mum and has opened up on recently seeing Maddox off to college in Korea.
‘I just sent one off… I’m so proud of him,’ she told Entertainment Tonight.
‘I’m so excited, I feel like my world expands as their world expands. I learn so much from them and I love this stage.
‘[And] it’s going to be different for different kids. Maddox was so ready.’
While Angelina has recently enjoyed an improving relationship with newly sober Brad Pitt, according to reports things are still frosty over his spiritual friendship with Kanye West.
She has allegedly threatened to cut off access to their kids if he doesn’t leave the controversial star’s circle, according to a shock report.
While Angelina isn’t a fan of Trump-loving Kanye’s politics, she is allegedly much more upset by the possibility of her children being influenced by the Kardashians, according to US website Radar Online.
‘Angelina can’t stand the Kardashian clan and wants her children nowhere near them, and she’s told Brad as much,’ a source reportedly told the site. ‘She’s pretty much issued him an ultimatum: It’s Kanye or the kids.’
Brad, who has recently quit alcohol, is known to be re-embracing his religious roots, and has attended Kanye West’s Sunday Services several times recently.
‘It’s a pure celebration of life and people,’ the star told ET. ‘It’s really delightful. It really is.’
With Angelina back in the swing of Hollywood life, and the kids taking an increasing place by her side at work events, it remains to be seen where the former couple’s relationship goes next.
And if these pictures are any indication, the Jolie-Pitt clan will be in the glare of the Hollywood spotlight for some time to come.
