Hollywood horror director Tobe Hooper has died at age 74, Variety confirms.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has reported it as a natural death.
Hooper is best known for directing classic horror films Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Poltergeist.

Multiple celebrities and directors have taken to Twitter to share their condolences, including Elijah Wood and Edgar Wright.

He is survived by two sons.
