Excitement is building for fresh episodes of Cold Feet!
With a sixth season set to launch in the UK in the next few months – 13 years after the series came to a dramatic end – a trailer has finally been released for the new episodes.
A caption with the trailer says: ‘Rejoin Adam, Jenny, Pete, Karen and David as they tip-toe through the minefield of middle age in the sixth series of the award winning drama.’
Starring James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris, John Thomson, and Fay Ripley, eight new episodes from series creator Mike Bullen will delight fans.
‘This feels like the right time to revisit these characters,’ Mike said.
‘They’re 50, but still feel 30, apart from on the morning after the night before, when they really feel their age. They’ve still got lots of life to look forward to, though they’re not necessarily the years one looks forward to!’
One obvious missing cast member will be Helen Baxendale whose character Rachel tragically died in a car accident in season five.
While Mark wrote Helen into the sixth season, the actress politely declined the opportunity to take part.
‘I was really touched he’d written Rachel into it, but I felt it wasn’t right for me,’ she said.
‘What was great about Cold Feet is that although it flew off down all different avenues, it was really based on believing the reality of the characters.’
An Australian broadcaster is yet to be confirmed but it’s likely Cold Feet season six will air on Foxtel.
